Flotech Environmental offers professional pipe inspection services in Florida, assisting municipalities, contractors, and property managers in protecting their underground infrastructure and preventing costly repairs. Our certified technicians use advanced CCTV technology and industry-standard methods to assess stormwater systems, sanitary sewers, and drainage pipelines with precision.

Our Pipe Inspection Services

  • Our CCTV pipeline inspection services deliver high-definition footage of storm, sanitary, and drainage pipes. This technology makes it possible to identify cracks, blockages, root intrusion, and other structural faults without excavation. Clients receive clear video documentation, detailed defect logs, and actionable recommendations for repair or rehabilitation.

  • Our stormwater pipe inspection services help municipalities evaluate the structural health of storm and sewer systems. We look for infiltration, corrosion, displacement, and damage, then provide condition ratings,  photo and video documentation, and prioritized recommendations. These assessments are essential for long-term maintenance and capital improvement planning.

  • A sanitary sewer evaluation survey goes deeper by pinpointing inflow and infiltration (I&I), structural defects, and flow inefficiencies. This service reduces excess clean water entry and prevents system overloads. Additional services include mapping, video inspections, flow monitoring, smoke or dye testing, and corrective action plans.

  • After new construction or pipeline rehabilitation,  our post-construction pipe inspections verify that systems meet all specifications. We ensure proper alignment, sealed joints, and defect-free pipelines before handoff. Clients receive certification of compliance, defect documentation, and peace of mind knowing the system is built to last. Other inspection services we offer for new construction include mandrel testing, laser profiling, deflection testing, smoke testing, and joint-gap measurement.

  • We offer sewer lateral inspections for smaller pipelines connecting individual properties to main sewer lines. This service is critical for homeowners, property transfers, insurance requirements, and municipal compliance.  Inspections detect cracks, root intrusion, and misaligned joints, with clear video reporting and repair recommendations.

  • A critical component of any stormwater and sewer inspection program, manhole inspections assess structural integrity, leaks, corrosion, and alignment. Our reports include photos, condition grades, and recommendations for sealing, repair, or replacement to maintain system safety and performance.

  • We offer underwater drone inspections to safely assess stormwater structures, pipes, and outfalls in submerged or unsafe environments. Our drones capture high-resolution video and data, providing accurate condition assessments without the need for dewatering.

  • We offer professional diving inspections with certified commercial divers who physically enter stormwater systems to conduct hands-on evaluations. This service allows us to directly assess structural conditions, debris blockages, and perform precise measurements where drone access may be limited.

Inspection Execution

Flotech’s NASSCO-certified technicians carry out inspections using CCTV, video capture, manhole entry, etc., following industry best practices & safety standards.

Reporting & Recommendations

Detailed reports with video/photo documentation, condition ratings, prioritized corrective actions, and cost estimates.

Follow-Up & Rehabilitation

Pipe Inspection Services | FAQs

  • NASSCO certification provides standardized training for inspecting and assessing underground infrastructure through PACP (pipelines), MACP (manholes), and LACP (laterals). It is important because it ensures consistent, accurate reporting across the industry, helping municipalities and engineers make informed decisions on maintenance, rehabilitation, and replacement.

  • We inspect pipes starting around 8 inches in diameter (and larger), with rigs suitable for various sizes depending on your system. Smaller laterals use specialized, smaller-diameter camera systems.

  • Depending on length, accessibility, and condition. For example, a short lateral may take a couple of hours; a long main line with multiple manholes may take a day or more. We’ll provide schedule estimates before starting.

  • While CCTV is excellent for visual defects (cracks, blockages, deformation, leaks visible from inside), some issues like external cracking, subsurface loads, or hidden corrosion may require supplemental testing. We’ll advise where additional testing is useful  (smoke/dye testing, structural analysis, etc.)

  • Often, yes — many municipalities or warranty agreements require verification that newly installed or repaired pipelines conform to design standards. It also prevents future issues.
