Hydroexcavation

Hydroexcavation is the process of removing soil from an area with pressurized water and a vacuum. It is a non-destructive method that successfully removes soil or debris with an industrial strength vacuum truck. Utility locations for water, gas, electric, telephone and fiber optic lines. The slurry that is removed in the process is vacuumed in to a debris tank that can also be used later to backfill the excavation.

Flotech continually invests in high-performance equipment and fleet management programs to ensure reliable and dependable service. Flotech’s 20 Combination Jet-Vac Trucks are recognized to be the best in class fleet.

Pipe CLEANING and desilting

For Jet-Vac Services our fleet primarily consist industrial vacuum trucks with 4,400 CFM Positive Displacement blowers disposing into 15 CY debris tanks combined with 2,000 psi/100 GPM Jet Rodder pump supplying high pressure pipe cleaning nozzles up to 1,000 LF.

Flotech has capability of cleaning structures and large diameter pipe segments either on or off road.  Our operators are trained how to apply and use the right jetting nozzle to maximize the safest and most efficient solution.   Specialized nozzles are used to move the debris down the pipeline and into the structure. High volume vacuum is then used to remove the debris from the structures and into debris tank which is then disposes to the appropriate government regulated facility.

Concrete, grease, roots, minerals, chemical deposits, tuberculation and protruding lateral pipe connections, cause the loss of cross-sectional areas of the main line conveyance pipes potentially causing sewer backups and overflows. Flotech uses both high speed (up to 50,000 rpm), low torque cutters and low-speed, high-torque auger cutter to clear tough, stubborn pipe blockages.

***Joe will share copy here*** Silt and other debris collects in pipes resulting in the loss of the pipes designed capacity. Flotech has a full line of sewer jetter nozzles and cutters for cleaning and removing obstructions in sanitary and storm sewer pipe such as roots, grease, concrete and other stubborn blockages. The resulting sludge is then vacuumed out of the pipe and disposed of.

The combination of advanced equipment and properly trained operators is best suited to efficiently tackle the most demanding blockages, frequent sewage spills as well as small and large diameter pipe cleaning requirements.

PLUGGING

Pipe plugging is often times required to block or stop flow from entering into a specific pipeline section or retention area for many different reasons. Most commonly to isolate a damaged section of stormwater or sanitary sewer pipe in order to perform required rehabilitation to the damaged areas. Flotech offers plugging services for large diameter storm and sanitary sewer applications.

DEWATERING

De-watering goes hand in hand with pipe plugging. During or after an overflow event and once a pipe or specific area has been isolated with the use of plugging, Flotech utilizes one or multiple jet vac/ Pump truck units to remove water and transfer it to another drainage area to perform the dewatering services.

bypass pumping and Liquid waste management

The purpose of the by-pass/Hauling operation is to pump sewage or stormwater around a maintenance access structure or section of sewer which has collapsed or has a blockage to the extent that the sewage/stormwater will not pass through the line and the possibility of an overflow is eminent.
