Drainage & Pipeline

A Full-Service Provider from Cleaning to Repair

Flotech has cleaned and inspected over 6 million linear feet of sanitary sewer & stormwater drainage conveyance systems in Florida, making Flotech one of the most experienced environmental contractors in the state.

Pipe Cleaning Services

  • Pipeline cleaning equipment inside a sewer or drain pipe with water flowing through.

    Jet Vac Cleaning

Flotech operators are trained how to apply and use the correct jetting nozzle to maximize the safest and most efficient solution. Specialized nozzles are used to move the debris down the pipeline and into the structure. A high-volume vacuum is then used to remove the debris from the structures and into a debris tank which is then disposed at the appropriate government regulated facility.

  • A pipe with hot water flowing into a concrete drain or sewer, with grates and metal supports surrounding it.

    Storm Drain Desilting

Jetvac cleaning of storm drain systems (catch basins, inlets, pipeline, lift stations, etc) is critical to ensure that a drainage system functions at the designed capacity. Blockages from debris and sediment can lead to flooding and overall deterioration of the system if not regularly cleaned and maintained.

  • Close-up of the inside of two metal pipes, one rusted and the other cleaner, with the left pipe having debris or sediment inside.

    Mechanical Cleaning

Concrete, grease, roots, minerals, chemical deposits, tuberculation, and protruding lateral pipe connections cause the loss of flow of cross-sectional areas of the main line conveyance pipes potentially causing sewer backups and overflows. Flotech uses both high speed (up to 50,000 rpm), low torque cutters and low-speed, high-torque auger cutters to clear tough stubborn pipe blockages.

 Inspection and Assessment Services

CCTV Pipe Inspection

CCTV is the most cost-effective and least disruptive method of obtaining accurate information on pipeline conditions. Whether it’s for compliance on a new pipe installation or evaluation of existing conditions Flotech uses the latest equipment to assess and make recommendations for cost-effective repairs.

Laser Profiling

Laser profiling is a leading-edge technology used by Flotech to identify, accurately measure, and document deficiencies such as dips, pipe ovality, joint gap tolerances and more.

Flow Monitoring

Flotech provides Flow Monitoring services for Environmental and Engineering firms to measure wastewater flow. These measurements are used to determine the amount of Inflow and Infiltration in the sewer system.

Repair & Rehabilitation Solutions

  • Looking down into a deep, round, painted red sewer or well with water at the bottom, and drainage pipes entering from the side.

    Manhole Rehabilitation

Flotech’s rehabilitation division specializes in manhole restoration using corrosion resistant products to fully restore manholes to their original structural integrity.

  • View inside a sewer pipe showing a robotic device with multiple colored cables extending from it, and a measuring scale indicating 42.2 feet.

    Chemical Grout Sealing

Flotech’s pipeline inspection rigs can perform inflow and infiltration testing and apply chemical grouting to ensure that groundwater is not infiltrating pipes at joints and connections. This method is NSF approved for being environmentally friendly since it does not leach any chemical into the soil or aquifer.

    Sectional CIPP

Sectional CIPP is an environmentally friendly and cost-effective trenchless, no-dig, method of repairing a specific point within a pipe, which can extend the life of the pipe for up to 50 years without the need of disruptive excavation and can typically be done same day. Applicable pipes range from 8 – 36 inches in diameter.
